Welcoming the New Year with Confidence

The last days of December were filled with a mixed of feelings (positive and negative) on account of the unwanted events that are currently shaking the world. Challenges, incidents and all kinds of events - good and bad, happy and sappy, relaxing and distressing. Issues like wars, domestic terrorism, social injustices, crimes, violence, poverty, illnesses, and many other deplorable realities have left people struggling with much sadness, confusion, and fears. Regardless, the human spirit is resilient and remains relentless and committed to overcome the challenges.

This is the reason that prompted millions of people to welcome the new year with expressions of happiness and cheerful exclamations that gladdened each heart.  Undeniable, hope, faith, and love can flood people's hearts and empower them to set their thoughts on positive things instead of letting depressing circumstances take away the peace of their souls.

Similarly, trusting in the Lord despite adversities can keep people's hearts inspired, uplifted, and motivated to keep on moving forward in spite of adversities. These positive attitudes can help individuals keep the eyes of their souls open to new hopes for better outcomes. Lastly, having a fervent faith can empower everyone to stand still amidst the chaos, and believe that God has not abandoned His children, and He never will do it.

Therefore, let us embrace these positive stances as we welcome this new year. Let us remain true to our Lord and Father God. Let us believe that He is always nigh; that He can help everyone overcome their troubling situations, and empower every soul with boldness to live victoriously.

Resting in God's promises can turn individuals into godly agents working for God in the task of blessing others. Therefore, let us focus our attention on doing the things we can do, set new goals for ourselves, engage in new projects, and look at the future with confidence, even when the odds are against us.

The Sacred Scriptures tells us: "If God is With us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31). May this inspired declaration can give us the courage to move on with confidence and become more than conquerors this new year and the ones that are yet to come. Let these inspired words be compass that guide our lives to the successful culmination of the year that started today. Happy New Year to Everyone!!!
